Custom Magic 8 Ball Production Time & Shipping: What to Expect

Production time comes down to quantity, not design complexity. Below are the real numbers so you can plan backward from your event date instead of guessing.
Quick Reference
| Stage | Timeline |
|---|---|
| Production, under 500 units | 15 days after proof approval |
| Production, 500–5,000 units | ~15 days |
| Production, 5,000+ units | Ask for specific estimate at quote |
| Rush production | $200 flat, saves ~5 days |
| UPS air shipping | 15 days (default) |
| Sea freight | ~30 days (flexible deadlines only) |
Standard Production by Order Size
Under 500 units: 15 days once you approve the digital proof. 500–5,000 units: closer to 15 days — longer run cycle. Over 5,000: we’ll give you a real number based on current schedule when you request the quote, not a generic estimate.
Rush Production
$200 flat fee usually shaves ~5 days. We’ll tell you honestly if it gets you there in time before you pay it — no taking the fee and hoping.
How Shipping Works
Most orders ship UPS air, 15 days after production wraps. That’s the default because most buyers have an event date and can’t risk slower options.
Sea freight (~30 days) is available if your deadline is genuinely flexible and you’d rather save freight cost. Tell us upfront — it can lower total cost.
Build In a Buffer
International shipments occasionally sit in customs for routine inspection, adding a few days. Doesn’t happen every order, but if your event date is tight, pad the timeline by a few days instead of cutting it to the wire.
Shipping to Multiple Addresses
Common for split events or multiple offices. Give us all addresses when you place the order. One catch: the full order ships as a single production batch — can’t split part of it mid-run once production starts.
A Worked Example
Event in 45 days, 800 units. Production 15 days + UPS air 5 days = 20 days total. Comfortable inside your window with ~1 week buffer. If that same event were 30 days out, you’d need rush production or a smaller initial batch — worth discussing before you order, not after.
Plan Backward From Your Event Date
Most reliable method: take event date, subtract shipping (5 days air, ~30 sea), subtract production (15 days). What’s left is your latest safe proof-approval date. If the math doesn’t work, ask about rush before assuming it won’t.
FAQ
Does the price include shipping?
Usually not — shipping quoted separately by destination/method, except at higher tiers where it’s sometimes bundled. Check Pricing Guide for specifics.
Can I track my order?
Yes, tracking numbers provided once it ships.
What if I don’t have a fixed deadline?
Say so upfront. Sea freight becomes realistic and is usually cheaper when time isn’t the constraint.
